About the Program

The UN Women Care & Climate Entrepreneurship Accelerator is a specialised programme designed to create new jobs and better livelihood opportunities for women by supporting diverse small enterprises operating in the climate sector and care sector across South and Southeast Asia. The programme provides enterprises essential business support, mentorship, and access to specialised climate and care networks.

The programme will identify and nurture 25 high-potential enterprises across South and Southeast Asia.

Application Process & Requirements

Applications must be submitted through the online application form available here on the programme website.

Yes, you need to submit the following documents:
Certificate of incorporation / registration.
Enterprise pitch presentation that covers your business model, products/services, target market, growth plans etc.
You will be able to upload the requested documents as part of the application submission.

No, applications can only be submitted through the online application form. Applications sent via email or post will not be considered.

With prepared responses and documents, we anticipate that the application submission will take 30-45 minutes. We recommend reviewing all questions and preparing your responses in advance. You can review the questions here.

Yes, if you want to save changes and complete the form later, click ‘Save as draft’ button and follow the instructions to access the saved application.

No changes will be allowed once the application has been submitted. Please ensure that you have reviewed all your responses and uploaded all required documents before submitting.
Selection Process & Timeline

The application deadline is Sunday, August 31st, 2025 at 11:59pm India Standard Time.

Top applications will be selected based on the following criteria:
Alignment with program objectives (climate/care solutions)
Potential for creating women's livelihood opportunities at scale
Business model scalability and growth potential
Leadership team strength and commitment
Financial sustainability
Demonstrated impact and growth trajectory

Due to the high volume of applications, individual feedback will not be provided to unsuccessful applicants. However, general insights may be shared through program communications.
Program Structure & Support

The accelerator will provide tailored support to the selected enterprises across six areas: strategy, operations, inclusive business models, financial readiness, networking, and gender responsiveness. Further details on the support provided to selected enterprises is available here.

Yes, the programme provides focused mentorship from seasoned experts in climate tech, care economy, sustainable business models, and gender-lens investing.

Selected enterprises will have the opportunity to participate in two in-person learning events, providing collaborative learning opportunities and access to an exclusive network of industry leaders and potential partners.
Investment & Funding

The programme focuses on providing investment readiness support and access to networks to enterprises. Only few enterprises (out of the 25 selected for the programme) will be eligible for grants.

Yes, the accelerator provides access to networks of gender-lens investors, climate finance providers, and other relevant funders, including opportunities to pitch to potential investors.

Yes, you can apply to the programme. Please note that your enterprise must be operationally active in South Asia or Southeast Asia and demonstrate clear impact towards creating women's livelihood opportunities in these regions.

The programme specifically targets for-profit registered entities. Social enterprises and B-Corps that are registered as for-profit entities and meet other eligibility criteria are welcome to apply.
